Episodes vs hunt fields
Episodes are instanced, scripted and have an ending, and clearing one is what advances your year. Hunt fields are persistent and shared, and are where you farm.
Guide
Yogurting is a school-life MMO: you attend classes, clear episodes with other students, and level up your grade as you go. Here is enough to get moving.
Pick a school when prompted. It decides which year-one episode chain you follow, and you can see your character's state any time on your account page.
Episodes are the story instances. Talk to the gate NPC to enter. The early ones are soloable and are how you gain your first levels.
Hunt fields are the open monster areas. Monsters there drop items and quest materials, and respawn continuously.
NPCs with quests will offer them when you talk to them. Most want you to clear an episode or collect a number of drops.

Kills roll independently for each player, so party members do not compete for the same drop. What you collected is totalled on the clear screen.
Clearing the episodes in your year builds toward promotion. Your report card counts cleared episodes, so skipping the chain leaves you stuck.
Episodes can be entered as a group, and some later ones expect it. Coordinate on Discord.

Use the reset page. You will need access to the email you registered with.
Yes. Characters, inventory and quest state live in the server database, not on your machine.
Report it on Discord with what you did, what you expected, and what happened. Screenshots help a great deal.
