One download. It installs the game and the launcher, and sets up everything the 2006 client expects to find.

One file, and it does the rest
yogurting-setup.exe and run itEverything is inside it: the game, the launcher, and the setup itself. Nothing to unzip and no folders to keep together.
It needs it. The game installs into Program Files and writes a log into the root of C:, and neither is something a standard user account may do. Windows may also warn about an unknown publisher first, because the build is not code-signed: choose More info, then Run anyway.
The installer explains which files get flagged and how to allow them, and then leaves that to you. Same explanation as below. It never asks you to switch your protection off, and it does not change your antivirus settings behind your back.
The shortcut is in your Start menu. Signing in to the launcher is optional: its account only keeps your settings, across every server the launcher knows, and it is not the game account you registered on this site. The first run may fetch updates, so give it a moment.

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Works under Wine and Proton on Linux. Roughly 2 GB free disk space once patched.
Expect one. The launcher loads a DLL into the game, which is how the fixes get in and also what a scanner watches for. What to do about it.
It probably will, and here is exactly why
The launcher starts the game and loads a DLL into it. That is how the widescreen fix, the shadow and MSAA fixes and the network layer get into a 2006 executable that has no way to load them itself. It is also, step for step, what a lot of malware does, so a scanner judging on behaviour rather than on a known signature will sometimes stop it.
Three files draw it:
yogurting_launcher_injector.exe: starts the game with the DLL attached
yogurting_launcher_hook.dll: the fixes themselves
_L.exe: the original 2006 client, unsigned and packed with a tool no one has used in fifteen years
We cannot make that go away. A code signing certificate costs more than this server does, and signed injectors get flagged anyway. Every release is published with its SHA-256 above, so you can check the file you downloaded is the file we built.
The installer prints these steps but does not do it for you, on purpose: a setup program that reaches into your antivirus is doing the same thing malware wants to do, and you should not get used to allowing it. Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions → Add an exclusion → Folder, then add C:\Program Files\Yogurting. Other scanners word it differently but have the same setting.
Add that folder and nothing else, and leave the rest of your protection on. Anyone telling you to switch your antivirus off entirely to play a game is giving you bad advice, and that includes us.
It was quarantined before you ever saw it. Restore it from your scanner's quarantine list first, then add the exclusion, or the next download goes the same way.
Optional, but it proves the file arrived intact
In PowerShell, from the folder you saved it in:
Get-FileHash .\yogurting-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
It should print:
16ae8aa045e5645a7fd92721bd2499d31f379ed6ba3725e5c4676d9abbac5fe4
Almost always antivirus quarantining the injector. Allow the install folder in your scanner, then run the setup again.
The launcher needs administrator to patch a game in Program Files. The installer sets it to ask every time; if you removed that, start it with Run as administrator.
Check the account works on the website first. If it works here but not in the launcher, say so on Discord.
